Barmes-Buecher Pinot Noir Reserve 2017, Alsace, France

About this wine

The estate is now run by some of our youngest and most talented makers, Sophie and Maxime, after the sudden loss of their founding father François in 2011. The 33 year old vines from just under a hectare of clay and marly limestone, go under a long fermentation with natural yeast, traditional foot treading, then 10 months ageing in 4-8 year old barriques. A very elegant wine with fresh black cherries and fine tannins.
