Dugois Arbois Vin Jaune 2009, France, 62cl

About this wine

Family-run 10ha estate located at the heart of the "triangle d'or" (Arbois, Salins-les-Bains and Poligny) in the Jura region. This vin jaune is matured for 6 years in old French oak under a naturally occuring film of yeasts (sous voile). During this maturation period the wine develops rich, nutty and bruised apple aromas (similar to the fino Sherries) but with the natural crisp acidity of Savagnin. Very long on the palate, it pairs very well with rich, tasty cheeses.
